Dad was having issues while on his beat with Mark, his K9 partner. He was literally surrounded by roughly 20 nuns in habit from Japan of all places, who spoke NO English. From what Dad was able to garner as they waved and pointed at streets maps, they were having trouble finding the National Zoo. Of course to make matters worse, a drunk arrives to get in the fray, repeatedly tugging on Dad and asking for a ride home. He only lived on 13th street, can't he get a ride? Dad got fed up and turned to the drunk, "For the love of God take a cab!" a few minutes later with the Nun/zoo issue resolved. Dad and Mark started back down the road when the call came over his radio. STOLEN CAB. Dad got on the radio. He had this one. The drunk did not get arrested, as Dad said.....I was the one who told him to take a cab!
