The Bike
Dad's father made him a promise when he was 9 or so. The deal was, Dad pass English and his father would buy him a new bike. Well, pass he did, but the bike never materialized. Or did it? One piece at a time over two months. A chain here. A wheel there. A new neighborhood for the pedals. Yes, indeed. One of the things that made Dad such a great cop was he was an incredible juvenile delinquent. Kelly
