Did you Know Michael was s Ski Jumper?

I was very sadden to read the news on Michael's passing. I remember a day we shared many years ago at the Camden Snow Bowl.  This was back in the late 60's when the rope tow at the base of the Main Slope was still in full-swing.  We found this little dipsy-doodle bump, we got some air on, at the bottom of the trail called Foxy on the left hand side of the rope tow.  Michael, being the engineer and I proceeded to build this seemingly huge jump on top of it with a shovel.  I couldn't understand why Mike paid any attention to me.  I was 4 years younger.  I was this scrawny, tiny little girl, around ten at the time.  I think that says something of him to have taken time out for a yonger kid.   We did that jump time and time again.  It was so much fun.  I know things seem bigger when you're younger, but I felt like I soared like an eagle that day.  46 years later, the memory is in my head like it was yesterday.  I thought he was the greatest that day, so long ago.  My thoughts go out to his family.  Gayle, Dawne and Mitch - I'm sorry for your loss.
