I was so sorry to hear of Jennie's death, and my condolences go to her large and well-loved family. Jennie and I worked together for many years at Coastal Child Care and although it was a few years ago, I remember with fondness the antics and silliness we had together. As we all know, Jennie had OPINIONS and she wasn't afraid to speak up if needed! Here's a Jennie story: Coastal hired a new staff person to work with the children. Jennie said she did NOT want to work with that person, they would not get along, and "Barbara, please don't make me do it"! Of course she was assigned to team up with the newby. Picture much groaning and sighing and crossed of the arms over the chest. But after about a week Jennie came to me and said how much she loved the new person and how much fun she was. "She's a lot like me". That person was Donna, and she and Jennie remained friends until Donna died. Jennie was not afraid to be wrong or to admit being wrong and she loved the children so much. I will never forget her.
