I had the blessing to meet, who I named "Johnny Lobster" when I was his therapist in Hilton Head. He was so valiant, absolutely set to conquer his addiction. He was a leader, showed immense love, kindness, amazing leadership and smiled more than anyone I've ever met. He spoke of his unwavering love for his parents and siblings, which was heart-warming. He wanted so bad to beat the disease with which he struggled. John was honestly my favorite client because we bonded on so many levels. He is and always will be a warrior, fighting for himself and others. When I heard of his passing, I shared my story of him with others struggling with addiction. The room mourned with me, as they were all too familiar with the horrors of substance abuse. He will always hold a dear place in my heart. My deepest and most heart-felt condolences. Just heart-broken but find renewal when I think of his playfulness and laughter. We all love you Johnny Lobster! You're my inspiration to continue to help other fight drugs.
