The Dory Lounge

Back in the '80's I played in the house band in the lounge at the Chuck Wagon with Jr., Bill Faller and a guy named Danny.  We probably weren't very good but we had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed playing with Jr. We always had a great time and that's what it was all about. We got paid by the door. Sometimes we made as much as 30-40 dollars each. I remember one night we only made four dollers each but we had a great time doing it. The money didn't matter. We never practiced. It was a thrown together band. The people that came seemed to have a good time and Jr. knew everyone of them. He was also very proud of that beautiful Rickenbacker bass guitar.

Anytime I ran into Jr. it seemed like we shot the bull for hours. He was a great guy.
