Obituary for Carolyn Jane Elliott (Snow)
OWLS HEAD – Carolyn J. Elliott, 78, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and navigator, died surrounded by her family at her home, Thursday, January 12, 2017, following an extended illness.
Born in Rockland, August 22, 1937, she was the daughter of Fred A. and Nathalie Robbins Snow.
Other than her parents, Carolyn was pre-deceased by a granddaughter Elise Kathryn Frontin in 1995, her sister Jacquelyn Paul in 2003, and her son-in-law Donald F. Ridgeway, Jr. in 2006. She is survived by her husband and soulmate, Daniel A. Elliott, Sr.; her children, Daniel A. Elliott, Jr. and his wife Dawn and their children Audrey and Gavin Elliott all of Owls Head, Kathryn S. Elliott and her children Nicholas and Kristopher Frontin and their father Ronald Frontin all of South Thomaston, Joan E. Ridgeway and her daughter Avens of Union; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Ridgeway Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund, C/O Erskine Academy, 309 Windsor Road, South China, ME 04358, or the Maine Parkinson’s Society, 359 Perry Road, Bangor, ME 04401.
