Obituary for Charles Alanson "Charlie" Kubecka

PALM HARBOR, FL - Charles A. Kubecka, 74, passed away September 2, 2016 while vacationing at the Samoset Resort in Rockport ME. Born in Utica NY June 19, 1942, he was the son of Steven and Martha Van Deusen Kubecka. Charles was a graduate of NY State University Fredonia where he earned his Masters in Education. Mr. Kubecka married Nancy Cunnings April 2, 1971 in Oneida NY.

For more than 33 years Charles loved teaching elementary children in the Oneida City School District and serving as music director for 29 years St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Oneida. During retirement Charles pursued his passion for music, travel and bridge. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Kubecka is survived by his wife, Nancy as well as a sister Ann and her husband Brant of Tarpon Springs FL, a brother Stephen and his wife Donna of Kirkville NY and a step-brother David and his wife Jean of Conesus NY.

He was a kind, generous and loving Uncle Charlie to many nieces and nephews. Local arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.

A memorial service in Florida will be announced at the discretion of the family.
