Obituary for Ada Mae Williams
ROCKLAND - Ada M. Williams, 83, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Pen Bay Medical Center in.
Born on Vinalhaven, December 18, 1931, she was the daughter of Leslie and Hazel Dyer. She married the late Richard A. Williams (Major Weak Eyes) and had four children.
Ada lived in Rockland for the last 40 years of her life. She provided homecare for four elderly ladies and then became a mail services worker at Target Marketing located in the Industrial Park in Rockland. She worked until she was 83 years old.
Ada is survived by her four children, Ruth Ellen Vasquez of Lawrenceville, GA, Richard L. Williams (Gweeka), Charles (Chuck) E. Williams, and Joy Williams Woodcock and son-in-law Eugene Woodcock; grandchildren Owen Williams, Adrianna Ames, Sheldon Woodcock; and four great-grandchildren.
Our mother loved life very much, she will be missed by all of us. May she rest in peace, we love you mom!
A graveside celebration of her life will be held at Carvers Cemetery, Vinalhaven, in the early spring.
Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
