Obituary for Shannon Kathleen Wilson

Shannon Kathleen Wilson
WARREN - Shannon K. Wilson, 43, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, at home, Wednesday, November 4, 2015.

Born in Lewiston, December 6, 1971, she was the daughter of Gordon and Nancy Nelson Wilson. Growing up in Durham, Shannon was a 1990 graduate of Brunswick High School. Following high school she attended Elms College in Chickopee, Massachusetts.

For over ten years Shannon has worked at Pen Bay Medical Center. Most of that time was as Patient Access Manager. Shannon was passionate about her job and formed many friendships throughout the Maine Health family.

On February 28, 2015 Shannon married her soulmate Jonathan Wilson. Together, along with their families, they enjoyed camping on Schoodic Lake, snowmobiling and hiking. Teaming up with her sister, Missy, Shannon took great joy in beating anyone who dared challenge them at cribbage. To Shannon, family and friends were her number one priority and she loved nothing more than spending time with them. She was a fiercely loyal friend with a laugh that would light up a room. She also loved her best-friend and constant companion 'Lucy' her Labradoodle.

Predeceased by her mother Nancy Wilson, Shannon is survived by her husband, Jonathan of Warren; her sons, Caleb and Jacob Hall both of Topsham; her daughter Emma Boyce of Warren; her father Gordon Wilson; her twin brother Shawn Wilson of St. Helen, Oregon; her sister Melissa Wilson Kasprzak of Kennebunk; as well as many special friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland; where a celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 11, 2015. A reception will follow at 104 Limerock, the funeral home's reception facility.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sussman House, 40 Anchor Drive, Rockport, Maine 04856.
