Philip Albert  Libby Sr.
CAMDEN - Philip A Libby Sr., 69, passed away peacefully after a long illness, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Maine General Hospital in Augusta.
He was born in Portland Maine, June 3, 1946 the son of Roland and Lorraine Libby.
Philip is predeceased by his wife Irene, and brothers, Robert and Paul (Mike) Libby.
He is survived by three sons, Philip A. Jr. and his partner Kelly of Waldoboro, Steven of Camden, David of Thomaston; and one daughter Lorraine of Rockland; his sister Linda Kennedy and her husband Henry of Rockland; brothers, Roland Libby Jr. and his wife Esther of South Carolina, Ricky of Standish; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-children and great-grandchildren.
He attended schools in South Portland and later married Irene, raising his four children. He later moved to Rockland where he worked as a commercial fisherman and lobstered with his bother-in law, Henry Kennedy until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, collecting boats, and traveling and visiting with family.
There will be a graveside service held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements were provided by Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
