Obituary for Sandra Louise Bart Heimann

Sandra Louise Bart Heimann
OWLS HEAD - Sandy Bart Heimann died peacefully and unexpectedly on September 21, 2015 at age 73. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Clayton and Margaret Seibel. Sandy is the beloved mother of son Aaron Bart of Owl’s Head and daughter Joelle and her husband Aaron Davis of Austin, Texas. She also leaves her friend, their father, Dr. Jerome Bart of Owl’s Head. She will be sorely missed by her brother Clayton Seibel and his wife, Heather and their family of Daintree, Australia. Sandy was predeceased by her dear husband Peter Heimann.

Sandy began her career as a registered nurse, eventually obtaining certification as a holistic nurse. She was a Medical Intuitive, Reiki Master and dowser. Sandy shared her healing gifts through consultation, mentorships and workshops. She has helped hundreds of people in the USA and internationally. Her legacy will be carried on through the countless healers she has mentored in her lifetime.

She has always been an artist, completing a BFA from the University of Houston with a major in painting and printmaking eventually developing a fine art silk screen business.

In 1988 she moved to mid coast Maine where she began combining her passions of art and healing. After completing one semester of a Masters program at Goddard College focused on the healing power of creativity, she realized her true inspiration and instead chose a self-directed daily study of the Divine Feminine and history of Matriarchy. After a decade of in depth research of the divine feminine goddess, Inanna, she completed her masterpiece, her book,
The Biography of Goddess Inanna: Indomitable Queen of Heaven, Earth and Almost Everything. It is now in the publishing process and the official book launch will be held in Mid Coast Maine in 2016.

Using all of her gifts, she taught numerous workshops in creativity and intuition. She expressed the “Sacred woman” through her paintings, Goddess Shrines and writings. Her art may be viewed on her website www.sandrabartheimann.com .

Sandy’s hospitality was legendary. She opened “My Mother’s Retreat House”, in 2004 to honor her mother, Margaret Seibel. It became a healing place for mind, body and spirit for all. In the oasis at “Wise Acre”, one was surrounded by the beauty of her artwork, the ocean, flower gardens and organic vegetables which magically turned into gourmet meals. Sandy’s table gathered many to share love, laughter and the joy of community. Her family and sisterhood will honor her sanctuary by bringing beauty, serenity, and creativity to her home.

Her love and light will continue to shine in all who knew her.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., at her home, Saturday, October 3, 2015.
