Obituary for Christie James Williams

Christie James Williams
ROCKLAND - Christie James Williams was born on April 27, 1966 in Calais, Maine. He left our world on Saturday afternoon, the 21st of March, 2015.

Raised and schooled in Rockland, Christie was known and liked by most who met him. He was a mechanic by choice, a carpenter by trade and he valued his family most, not all of which were by blood. A ‘big block Chevy man’ for sure, Christie certainly left his mark in our world as well as on many of the roads in Knox County.

Christie was a hard worker, a perfectionist and a giver. He passed doing what he loved most, fixing someone else's vehicle. We all take comfort in that knowledge.

Predeceased by his two older sisters, Alicia C. Williams and Cynthia Y. Williams Reed, Christie is survived by his son Brian J. Williams and his fiancée Carolyn Holmes; granddaughter Olivia Williams; a step-daughter Amanda Snyder; step-grandchildren Savannah and Christopher; his mother Annette Scott; his step-father Colon MacArthur and wife Lynne; siblings Diamond MacArthur, Mazelle MacArthur Olsen, Coleen MacArthur Patterson, Timothy MacArthur and an unofficially adopted sibling Carmen Wilson, along with their collective children; many aunts, uncles, and so very many loving Cousins.

Christie is also survived by his long time love and live in girlfriend Ruth Crandall and her daughter Chelsea whom he loved like his own; and lifelong friends Craig Simmons and Steve Kaler.

Christie’s family has chosen to remember his life privately.

Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
