Message: "Mama's Song" It's always hard to say goodbye, to hold in tears, try not to cry. I know that you would not want that but still they fall, a soft pitter-pat. I squeeze my eyes shut to stop the flow but still they fall nowhere to go; they land silently upon my lap, my head hung low, a soundless clap. It was too soon and life's not fair, I know you're now at peace I feel your love and know you care, your distant voice a tease. You tell me hold my chin up high, there's a job for me to do... I breathe in deep, let out a sigh, I'd do anything for you! Your memory so fresh and strong, the minutes ticking by all night long. Each moment feels you being there, I see your eyes, your smile, your hair. I put on green and listen to music, praying I'll find that song' that reminds me of you so I can use it, to guide and carry me along. I find myself singing the words, first soft, then growing stronger... Full voice by the ending verse, not crying any longer. The angel that you are came through and helped guide me with my sadness; when I heard your laughter too, my heart and soul welled with gladness. Thank you for the gifts you gave. The memories we've saved and made. So when I feel sad, I know what to do... Keep singing loud & bold & true!!! ~I love you, Mama.....
