ROCKLAND - Danielle M. Griffin, was born December 15, 1988 at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport. She passed unexpectedly, peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of February 28, 2015. She was 26 years old.

Danielle was a young, smart and petite woman. She had a big smile that would light up a room, and an even bigger heart. She was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, girlfriend and devoted friend to many. Danielle enjoyed takin care of people who were not always able to help themselves.

Graduating high school in 2008, Danielle went on to become a CRMA at a hospice facility taking care of the elderly. If you needed her she was there, no questions asked.

Danielle worked very hard for what she had and took pride in being independent. She would take any obstacle head on, no matter how challenging, and come out victorious.

She also loved her family very much. To her, family didn’t stop with blood. Family is whomever you open your heart to and would give your life for - blood or not.

Predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Kathleen Dow; Danielle is survived by her mother Mary Harrison and her partner Keith Botting; her father David Harrison, Sr. and his wife Sheryl Harrison; her sisters, Amanda Roberts and her sons, Devon and Josh Roberts, Jessica Pearl and her husband Steve Pearl, Heather Griffin and her children, Wyatt and Sophie Griffin, Deanna Harrison and her partner Andy Barriger and their children, Chloe Rivera and Owen Barriger; her brother David ‘DJ’ Harrison, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Russell and Marie Harrison, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Danielle is also survived by Sherry Steele who was like a second mother and best friend; her boyfriend, Adam Hallowell, who loved her deeply; her best friends and life-long sisters, Sarah Roscoe, Amy Phillips, and Tia Gregory.

Danielle’s brother said this: ‘My sister had many friends, few enemies, and had a warm heart. She had potential to do great things with her young life and as her only bother I wish could have said, ‘I love you’ and hugged her once last time. Your brother loves you with all his heart.’

Family and friends are invited to visit from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland, where a Celebration of Her Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 13, 2015.
