The last fifty four years

I've known my friend Franny since first grade and graduated East Longmeadow High School with him in 1972.  To me he was always Franny, not Fran.  It's no surprise to me that Franny was a successful leader in his industry.  Franny was selling Christmas trees before he was a teenager in the most inclement and cold weather and was always working - and working hard.  Anything he did, he did with everything he had and with passion.

One light hearted story from high school - early in the (I think senior) school year, Franny couldn't find his math book and was forced to buy another one.  At the end of the school year, Franny's math book was found at the bottom of the high school pool.  Franny took the book and let it dry out.  When it did the one inch book was approximately 12 inches wide.  Franny carried that book around the remainer of the year with pride!  He just found the humor in things!

My condolences to Franny's family.  May God bless you at this heartbreaking time.

Scott
