Hi, Salesman on the road prior to motels, stayed in rooming houses or hotels. Not being a drinker and looking for a quiet friendly place the Knox was my favorite spot. I was invited to have my breakfast in the kitchen and did ! When Joan and Frank bought it they took on extensive projects painting and renovating. Good thing Frank taught what was then sloyd! Written on the badly cracked kitchen wall written in chalk was this notice. ' He has the right to criticize who has the heart to help' !! Joan was a great cook and tireless worker and together a powerful source. I often went fishing with Frank before breakfast. Brings back lots of memories !! Condolences to the family. Roger Lawrence
