Joe Bishop

–

Deerfield Beach , Florida

Joe Bishop, 79, of Hope, Maine, and Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2026, in Hope, Maine.

Joe shared 35 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Pam. Together, they built a life filled with family, friendships, and cherished memories between Maine and South Florida.

Joe was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he spent much of his working life as a charter boat captain in Deerfield Beach, Florida. His years on the water were an important part of his life. After retiring from that career, he became a condominium manager in Boca Raton, Florida.

Joe and Pam cherished the friendships they made over the years. They frequently enjoyed breakfast and lunch at the Red Fox Diner in Lighthouse Point, Florida, where shared meals and good company became part of their routine.

Family was an important part of Joe’s life. He is survived by his wife, Pam; his children, Mary Hull and Raymond Bishop; and his five grandchildren, Sam Hull, Tyler Hull, Little Joe Bishop, David Bishop, and Morgan Radkin; one great-grandson, Damian Bishop; and nieces and nephews.

Joe’s family also included Pam’s sons, Tyson Roy and Brett Roy, Brett’s wife, Casey, and grandchildren Emma, Jack, and Luke. Together, their blended family brought many meaningful connections and relationships into Joe and Pam’s lives.

Joe will be remembered for his military service, his years on the water, the life he built with Pam, and the family and friendships that enriched his years. His unexpected passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him, but the memories they shared will remain.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

In Joe’s memory, donations may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
