WARREN - Michael Shane Obuchon, 9, died peacefully in his sleep, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at his home.
Born in Damariscotta, May 17, 2002, Michael was diagnosed with Lissencephally and given less than a year to live.
Against all odds, Michael blessed his family with nine loving years.
He greatly enjoyed spending time with his Mammie, who helped care for him on a daily basis. His family remembers him as a great brother and son. Some of their most precious memories include snuggling and watching cartoons or reading books together. Animals loved him and he loved them.
Predeceased by his paternal grandfather Michael Obuchon; Michael is survived by his mother and step-father, Michelle Tabbutt and Chris Austin; his father and step-mother, Shane and Dee Obuchon; his brother Gage Austin; his sisters, Heidi and Nicole Obuchon; his maternal grandmother, Shirley "Mammie" Tabbutt; and his paternal grandmother, Sharon Shanholtzer; all of Warren.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Thomaston Baptist Church, Main Street, Thomaston. The Reverend Wayne Sawyer will officiate. A reception will be held immediately following at the Tabbutt/Austin family home in Warren.
