Condolence From: Barbara E. Gray • Wilmington, Delaware
Condolence: I first met Elsie when my son, Thomas, married Elsie's grand-daughter, Andrea. Elsie and Carl graciously hosted the wedding rehearsal dinner at their home. No one could have been more warm and welcoming than Elsie. She took our family into her heart, especially Thomas, to whom she was always loving and kind. She was a wonderful example of how to live a good life. I admired her zestful spirit and her contagious enthusiasm, qualities that continued well into her later years until illness intervened. I will miss her smile, her courage, her vitality and her generous spirit. I extend my sincere sympathy to her family and friends upon her passing.

Condolence From: Gil & Martha Bouchard • Orington, Me
Condolence: Elsie's passing has left a big void in my life. After attending their annual lobster fest for about 15 yrs, I shall greatly miss the long talks we had about life, family, and a great many other subjects. We have shared many trips with Carl and Elsie and it just will not be the same. She will be forever in my heart. Love to her family, Martha Bouchard

Condolence: Dear Mark, Mary, Audrey and Family,
So sorry to hear of your mothers passing. While I was reading your mom's obituary I was remembering what a spitfire she was. I look back on those times at your house with a smile on my face. She was one of a kind and I am sure she will be greatly missed.

Condolence: Dear Carl & Family
We are sadden to hear of your loss. We met years ago through HOG and always enjoyed see seeing Elsie with a big smile, enjoying the riding and meeting everyone. I think our best memory was at the last Rally in PEI when Elsie received the Oldest Rider Award. May she always be in the wind.

Condolence From: Marcia Watts Wilcox • Gorham, Maine
Condolence: Dear Carl, Becky, Mary, Mark and Frances, I was sad to read the obituary in the Courier this week, but I know Elsie is in a much more comfortable place now! My mom has survived my dad's passing about 9 years, and she too suffers from memory loss! She is still with me, but I don't know for how long. I am the only kid and I still work, so we shall see. Margaret didn't remember Elsie when my husband (David) showed her the obituary. She really doesn't remember Bud (can you believe it?), and it is difficult for her to remember her great grandchildren. She will ask "Who are they?" I am sorry you had a storm on the day of Elsie's service, hope everything went as planned. I would love to hear from you. The last time I saw Elsie was at Windward Gardens, I think, when my father was there in the end. Please except our sympathy in your loss!
