I will post something briefly here and either update or add new. Wayne reached out to each one of the junior officers who served aboard the USS CALOOSAHATCHEE (AO-98) 1972 to 1975. He was the guy who told us all of the annual reunion and it was his encouragement that drew us together once or twice a year. How he found us I have no idea but he was determined to locate the young men who were totally at-sea with what to do in their first real job. Wayne furnished the laughter and found a way to trigger stories that bound us all together. Truth be told, I think he often “mis-remembered” as a catalyst for drawing out the Real Story.
