Condolences & Tributes

We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about Elsie. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

So sorry I missed seeing the obituary before the service, I would have attended for sure. I will always remember Elsie as a warm and welcoming neighbor. I remember years ago her and Willard had a German Shepherd that would chase us girls and grab our mittens or the bows on the back of our dresses...In later years I reconnected with her when I attended the Methodist church, she was so easy to talk to and quick to laugh. I will add her to the list of missed ones from the Keag when I'm sitting across the river sipping my cup of tea, which has become a weekly event over the years.

I have known Elsie for many years and was sorry that I did not see that she had passed until after the funeral. She was always engaging to speak with her humor and interest in others. I enjoyed running into her at her church's suppers, always there with a helping hand. She seemed ageless over the years. Blessings to her family.

I loved Elsie! She was a very special part of my childhood growing up in Maine. She was my neighbor, and a very devoted neighbor just like her obituary says! I send my sympathy and prayers to Wayne and all the rest of Elsie’s family.

Love,

Deb (Godfrey) Dowding
