He was born in Camden, NJ and lived in Cherry Hill, NJ where he attended Delaware Twp. High School now known as Cherry Hill High School West. After graduation he attended Glassboro State College where he met his future wife of 52 years, Nancy. Archie played football while attending Glassboro and assisted in coaching football and wrestling while working for his Masters degree in art education.

A truly devoted man, Arch shared his love with his children, his wife, his family and friends. Many people will recall and retell ‘Archie stories.’ He also touched the lives of many athletes and students through the years. Those years began with his first teaching position in Pennsauken, NJ where he taught elementary art and assisted the high school football team. He next taught at Cherry Hill East and coached football and was head wrestling coach. At that time he and his coaches took a wrestling team to Germany and brought the Polish International Wrestling Team to NJ. Special times and special bonds were formed that have lasted through the years.

Coaching and teaching at Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ was next. Here he made lifelong friends and had the privilege of working with many fine young athletes. Arch became head football coach at Cinnaminson High School and continued on to Lenape High School where he not only had the privilege of coaching his son, but the team won the Group 4 Championship Title.

Arch retired from public school education and coached football at Rowan University. His final coaching position while living in NJ was Head Football coach at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA.

In 2005 Arch and his wife Nancy moved to South Thomaston Maine. His love of football followed him to Rockland District High School where he assisted in coaching and then became head coach at Camden Hills Regional High School.

Arch was predeceased by his daughter Kelly Lee, and his mother and father. He is survived by his loving wife Nancy and their sons Christopher and Ryan. His love will remain with his wonderful grandchildren, Clarissa, Aiden, Dylan, Ash and Timothy.

He has scored the final touchdown and is now playing on God’s heavenly team.
