Condolence: I just got the news about Ricky. I worked with Ricky at Hurricane Island Outward Bound for many years. He was a constant burst of sunshine with his brilliant lovely smile. And his spirit was full of fun and mischief. I am sad that he his gone from us, especially sad for his family.

Condolence: Dear Erinn and Sam, and others in Ricky's family:

I worked at the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School the entire time Ricky did.
During those many years, his hallmarks were hard work, excellence at his job, an extraordinary painter, and he would drop everything to help you out. He possessed great humor and always seemed to have that enduring smile on his face! Whenever any us at the Rockland base got into a jam, Ricky usually could address the problem with a common sense solution - and often, his brute strength.
He was extraordinarily kind and thoughtful, and often would do little things around the boathouse and the office without anyone knowing who did them.
While there was a 20 year difference in our ages, I considered him a good friend; I am truly sorry he has left us, well before "his time".
With thanks, Ricky, for all you contributed to Outward Bound - and to all of us on the staff. Godspeed!

Condolence: Every child should have someone like Ricky in their life growing up. He built a mean cardboard playhouse, made great prank calls as Elvis, and was part of an amazing boathouse crew that took care of me when I was sick or just needed entertainment! He was a kind soul and he’s gone far too soon.

Condolence: Erinn and Sam,
This is Miguel.....not sure you remember me...I used to work with your dad at HIOBS in the late 80's to mid 90's....Sam, I gave you guys that red minibike and that old Polaris sled way back when....
I'm so sorry for your loss. I cannot even begin to know how you all feel. Dad and I had some great times at HIOBS and at your house in Union when you had those huge dogs. We sure did laugh a lot and that is what I will always remember of Ricky. He was one of the hardest workers I know anywhere! I will miss him.
Feel free to contact me via email. I'd love to share more stories and see how its going for you. Give my best to mom (Pattie) and your uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Many hugs and lots of love,

Miguel
