WISCASSET – A graveside service for Alton R. Chadwick, who died December 11, 2017, will be held at 12:30pm, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at South Parish “Ridge” Cemetery, Ridge Road, St. George. To share a memory or story with Alton’s family, please visit their online Book of Memories at www.bchfh.com.
WISCASSET – Alton R. Chadwick, 84, died Monday, December 11, 2017, at the Sussman House in Rockport. Born in St. George, July 26, 1933, he was the son of Merrill and Elizabeth Simmons Chadwick.
Other than his parents, Alton was pre-deceased by his wife, Carmella Diamond Chadwick; his son, Alton “Butch” Chadwick; his siblings, Wilbur “Will’ Chadwick and his wife Jean, Gwendolyn L. Villano and her husband Marty. He is survived by two daughters, Marie Chadwick of Rockland, Debbie Hickey and her husband Dennis of Gardiner; three sons, Jeffery Chadwick and his wife Cindy of Wiscasset, Timmy Chadwick and his wife Jennie of Alna, Steve Chadwick of Florida; a brother, Roger A, Chadwick and his wife Patty of Connecticut; two sisters, Adele L. Wielock of North Carolina, Cynthia A. Chadwick of Tenants Harbor; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
A celebration of Alton’s life is planned for the summer of 2018, and will be announced. Burial will be in the South Parish “Ridge” Cemetery, St. George.
