Condolences & Tributes

We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about Donald. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

Don was generous enough to volunteer his time to coach a bunch of kids in baseball, as coach of the Bears in the Salem Rec League, and we all benefited from his time and effort - we appreciated his enthusiasm and support when we lost, which happened often, and his free spirited effort in showing us how to run the bases, and to be able to have fun in this game he loved, when other parents put too much onus on winning, or who didn,t show any support. The reason I remember him today was because he was a man who cared - his children were the primary beneficiaries, but he touched many others. Good job, Mr.Hunt!!!

To the Hunt family: please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. As your paper boy, I had the privilege of speaking with Mr. Hunt and I always enjoyed our interactions. May he Rest In Peace.

To Dons family,
My memories of Don are fond. I spent many many visits in his office in Salem. He was a kind man, a gentle soul, and always had a story to share. He instilled interests in stamps in me, he could imitate just about any bird call you perchance happened to mention, and was never shy in doing so. On behalf of the Salem (formerly) Labrecque's, Ray (passed) and Mona (doing well in Beverly) I am in Georgetown. Our sincere condolences on your loss. May you have peace in his memory, his kind ways, and his love for each of you.
Regards, Gregg
