Condolence: Dear Elaine and Fred, and please send my thoughts to Barbara too; I just came across Rita's obituary again (I have a printout) and wanted to tell you how much of a difference she, and Joe, made to me when we were young. They were Ben and my fill-in grandparents, and were up for watching a 'show' or giving out cookies, or even letting us bang on their metal trash cans (another noisy drum 'show') while they sat in their fold-out chairs in the yard. I now understand how their presence lent another level of security and comfort to our childhood, and I really value it. Rita was such a wonderful person, and I think of her often.
