Condolence: Dear Mazurek family,
My dad, Clifford Burkett was RDHS principal in 1975 and 1976. He liked and highly respected "Coach". Dad passed away last month, so I am writing this for him. Our family greatly appreciates Ed's lifelong service to the students at RDHS and to the whole community. We pray that God will comfort your hearts and fill your minds with the most wonderful memories every day.
Condolence: Dear Family of Coach Maz, I had the great pleasure of interacting with the Coach and his wife at many of my son Jebadiah's baseball games under his son, Rich! He made sure that I always felt welcome! For that I say THANKS
Condolence: Just a little over a month ago, at his grandson Ryan's birthday party, I was sitting on the deck at Ed's son's house watching the young folks swimming and enjoying the water. Ed really enjoyed watching them. I guess Grandpa's sometimes get into a philosophical mood when watching youngsters and we began to talk about the most important things in life. Ed told me how it felt the first time he walked onto the field for the NY Giants. He said it was a thrill he'd never forget. We agreed that the feelings and memories were the important things in life, not money or possessions. You can lose all your money, but the joy and happiness that family and friends bring will last a lifetime.
I'll always remember that day and how much Ed loved his family. He certainly had learned some good life lessons and knew what was really important.
Condolence: So sad to hear of the loss of such a good man. He was a community servant and cared deeply about its people; especially its youth.
Our sincere condolences to all the family. Gods strength and Blessings to all of you.
Condolence: I have not had an hour without thinking of our longtime friend Ed Mazurek- His attitude was an inspiration to all of us even when we heard we was not doing well- Always a laugh on the phone and always a pleasure to speak to.
Our sincere condolences to Maryellen and family and our friend and playmate from 68 years ago will never be forgotten-
