ROCKLAND - Shauna Lee Landre, 39, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017. She was born to the late Francis W. Landre and Dixie L. Landre Roy on August 8, 1978.

With a charisma like no other, Shauna brought joy to all those whose paths she crossed. She attended local schools where she played sports. She loved caring for animals and often volunteered at shelters, and she was even known to her family as the “cat whisperer”. She also loved to listen to music and read. Always a hard worker, she was employed at Towne Motel prior to her death.

Shauna is survived by her mother, Dixie L. Landre Roy of Rockland; her stepmother Cynthia V. Carter Landre; three sisters, Angela Brashear and her husband William, Rachel Landre and Sarah Landre. She is also survived by her son, Alexander M. Ausplund; her nephews and nieces, including Paige Widdecomb, Braden Brashear, Nolan Brashear, Aubree Brashear and Zivah Daniels. She also leaves behind a special uncle and aunts, David and Donna M. McKown, Shirley A. Seavey and Sandra L. Reed and their families, and many cousins, as well as companion Sean Huntington.

Shauna’s father, Francis W. Landre, and her stepfather Daniel R. Roy Sr. preceded her in death.

A Celebration of Life in her honor will be held Monday, October 9, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 104 Limerock, Burpee, Carpenter and Hutchins Funeral Home’s reception facility.
