We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about Dianne. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

Dear Marilee and family,
Sincere sympathy to you, yours and all who loved Dianne. She was one special woman. I enjoyed every time we met. She always had something interesting to chat about - great sense of humor and memory. Cherish the fun times for they will sustain you during the dark days. Love and prayers.

Dianne was my 8th grade teacher. She always treated her students with respect and a dry sense of humor. My favorite part of her class was the reading assignments she seemed to know what books to choose, one would be a girls theme such as Mrs. Mike but it also had something for the boys then it would be a boys theme but even the girls liked it. She also had a great memory the last time I saw her she called me Miss Oakes I have not had that name for 43 years. She will be missed.

I met Diane many years ago in the freshman dorm North Estabrooke at the University of Maine. Years later I met her every so often after I moved to Rockland. At one point I found she had bought a house at the end of my street. It was always pleasant to meet someone who I had passed my college years with. So sorry to see that she had passed early in our senior years. My sympathy to her family, friends and partner.
