WARREN - Richard A. Brehm, 83, went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 23, 2017, at Togus Springs Hospice.
Born in Rockland, August 5, 1933, he was the son of Joseph and Norma Huntley Brehm. He was educated in Rockland schools.

Richard served his country in the United States Air Force as a Machinist, 20 years. He served primarily in Okinawa until retiring in 1972 as a Technical Sargent.

Soon after retiring from the military, he met and married Janice P. Brehm, on February 8, 1973. They spent 40 happy years together raising their family and working in the Rockland area. Richard spent his post military years at Bicknell Manufacturing in Rockland, retiring from that firm at the age of 65.
He loved the outdoors, woodworking, and art. He and Janice enjoyed their annual trip to Moose Head for fly fishing.

Richard will be dearly missed and never forgotten by all who knew him.

Other than his parents, Richard was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 40 years, Janice P. Brehm, as well as his brothers, Norman Brehm and Lloyd A. Richards, Sr. He is survived by his son, Richard A. Brehm, Jr. and his wife Dina; his daughter, Debra Burk and her husband Ronald Joy, all of Rochester, NH; his step-sons, Lloyd A. Richards, Jr. and his wife Susan of Hanley of Warren, Fred M. Richards of Bowling Green, FL., his step-daughter, Constance Drinkwater of Thomaston, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 9, 2017, at the Rockville Cemetery, (Rt. 17) Rockland Street, Rockville. Pastor Ray Tombs of Resurrection Church in Thomaston will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VA Maine Healthcare System, Volunteer Service, Togus Springs Hospice, 1 VA Center, Augusta, ME 04330.

Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, Rockland.
