ROCKLAND – Beatrice "Bea” Josselyn Winslow (Clark), 83, died after a long battle with COPD, Tuesday, June 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Pen Bay Medical Center.

Born October 21, 1933, in Camden, Beatrice was the daughter of Horace E. and Leotia Irma (Peirce) Josselyn. She was educated in Camden schools.

In 1951 Beatrice met Milton Clark while working as a waitress in a Camden restaurant and they married a few months later on her 18th birthday. In 1972 they were divorced and she married again for a short time. In 1980 Beatrice and Milton resumed their long-time relationship and were remarried in 1996.

Beatrice’s greatest love was her family and she enjoyed cooking big meals and taking care of all those around her. Before she became ill she loved going to theme parks and doing fun things with her children and grandchildren. Beatrice also loved to go to Foxwoods twice a year until the trips became too much for her. It was at this time she started taking trips to either Oxford or Hollywood Casino with her daughters and granddaughters. She enjoyed going out for Sunday dinners with her family. She also loved working outside the home and she made many friends along the way. Beatrice especially enjoyed her life-long friendship with Alice and Buster Cochran, LouAnn Kinney, Kari Barlow, Mark Peterson and their families.

In 1959 Beatrice went to work at then Forty-Fathoms, later National Sea Products. She worked there until the doors closed in 1990. In 1990 Beatrice went to work for Pen Bay Health at the Knox Center for Long Term Care where she worked until she retired due to health reasons in 2016.

Beatrice was predeceased by her loving husband Milton, her brothers, Horace J. and Robert Josselyn; a son, Milton Charles Clark; two grandsons Jamie and Joshua Bowen; and a son-in-law Gene Hallowell. She is survived by her two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara Carver of Camden and Jessie Jacobs and her husband Wilbur of Hope; four children, Mary Hallowell and her companion Robert of Dresden, Monica Bowen of Rockland, Melinda Dennison and her husband David of Thomaston, Barbara Nickerson and her husband James of South Thomaston; her 13 grandchildren, Jimmy Hallowell, Kristy Wellman, Frank Bowen, Lisa Allender, Jennifer Houghton, Buffy Brackett, Bruce Sidelinger, Allen, Mandy, David, Jr. and Cheryl Dennison, Billie Jo Stewart, Leah Nickerson; her 17 great-grandchildren, Nathan Hallowell, Richard Thompson, Ally Smith, Misty, Sierra, Allie and Lydia Bowen, Chloe Dawson, Sara Brown, Amy and Ryan Allender, Travis and Cody McKenzie, Willow and Casey Dennison, Andrew and Jessica Kelley; and her 11 great-great-grandchildren, Joshua and Noah Allender, Bennie and Kaylee Brown, Braden, Serenity, Caelynn, and Keaton Bowen, Haley, Autumn and Alexis Ross; as well as many nieces and nephews.
