Born in Portland, August 3, 1926 he was the son of Clayton and Verona Watt Miller. Donald’s father was killed in an automobile accident November 11, 1930, after which Donald and his three siblings were raised by their mother and other family members.

He successfully ran that business selling used cars, doing all of his own mechanical and body work. At his best times, he averaged at least 100 cars sold a year.
He was married to Caroline Bodman and they had two children. After retiring in 1983, he and Caroline wintered in Florida in their Elan Winnebago motorhome. On the C.B. Radio, he had the handle of ‘Camper Man’ and Caroline was called ‘Minnie Winnie’.
