Obituary for Joan Frances Wentworth

WARREN – Joan F. Wentworth, 80, died Sunday with family at her side, Sunday, April 23, 2017, at the Sussman Hospice House in Rockport.
Born in Boston, April 6, 1937, she was one of seven children of John F. and Doris Leonard Heald. She moved to Warren at an early age where she was educated in local schools.
In 1956, she married Wesley A. Wentworth. The couple lived in Warren most of their married lives, where they raised their family.
Joan was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed picking blueberries and strawberries often creating something delicious to eat. Spending time with her grandchildren brought Joan special joy.
Joan was pre-deceased by her husband Wesley A., Sr.; her parents; one son Wesley A. Wentworth, Jr. and four siblings. She is survived by her children, Daniel A. Wentworth of Warren, Harry L. Wentworth of Rumford, Richard Wentworth of Rockland, Irma Wentworth and her husband Coty Richards of Warren, Nancy Wentworth of Brunswick and Brenda Garafano of Liberty; two sisters, Germaine Gooldrup of Waterville, Alta L. Lambert of Winslow; two step-children, Wesley M. Wentworth, Edna Noble both of Gray; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
No services will be held at this time.
