Condolence: Seth was such a special person in my life. On many high school days, the two of us got off the Derryfield bus in Bedford and walked together to the fork in the road where we parted ways to go home. To my great delight, he would often humor me by lingering there for wonderful conversations that I treasure to this day. (He was the first person to introduce me to the lyrics of Alice's Restaurant). Given that he was two years older than me, I have a sneaking suspicion he was just being kind when he put up with the overly enthusiastic and overly loquacious girl who was always so transparently thrilled to have his company. I've never forgotten our talks. They helped keep me sane during the difficult years of high school.

Condolence: Dear Seth's family and friends,
I am so sorry to hear this very sad and shocking news. Seth worked for me once a week for a number of years and he was outstanding in every way. His work was excellent and he was cheerful and just wonderful to be around. Everyone looked forward to Seth's arrival on Fridays. I know he loved the outdoors and his camping vacations and his photography. He decided to enjoy all of his days off from Backcove Yachts so stopped working for me a number of years ago. In hind site I am happy that he had those days to enjoy. About a month ago I saw him in his car but had not seen him in quite a while. I sent you all best wishes at this very difficult time.

Condolence: Thinking of you Seth, wherever you are. Taking you with me, wherever I go. You leave behind not just one family but two. The one that gave you life, and the other that nurtured and raised you. It is my hope that both equally feel your love now, and hold you close to their heart. I certainly know I will. You were special in a truly profound quiet way. Kind to the core. Private. Reflective. Articulate. Bright. Talented. Always you had the camera at your side, and through the lens captured the less than 1 percent that most of us stop and take the time to see. I believe your soul was old and aligned with the very heartbeat of Mother Earth. Upon your walks and drives, her heartbeat humbled you, broadened you, and gave you strength. For those of us left behind, saddened, and struggling with your abrupt departure I believe you would tell us to take a walk in the woods, along the river, by the shore, down by the tidal pools, and find peace there, even humor. For the one constant in nature, is change. One heavy downpour or flood and a river bank erodes and changes course, finding a path of least resistance. Overnight nature can pull a fast one, and so it was the case of your passing. I for one counted on your being here for a long long time. I easily pictured you growing old. Now I know what I was seeing was an old soul passing through. An old soul passing through.
