ROCKLAND – Paul Damien Sullivan, 86, died, January 14, 2017, at Maine Veterans Medical Center Togus, in Augusta.

Other than his parents Francis and Katherine Newman Sullivan, Paul was pre-deceased by his siblings, Donald Sullivan and Frances Hunt. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Claudia Sullivan of Rockland, his sisters, Barbara Stanley and Clare Sullivan and their families.

Paul served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, the Korean War and during the Vietnam War.
He worked ardently to help and serve the needs of the Boston homeless community as a Counselor at Pine Street Inn.

A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Bernards Catholic Church in Rockland. Burial with Military Honors was in Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Augusta.
