CAMDEN – Rose K. Simeone, 96, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, October 13, 2016, at Quarry Hill in Camden.

Born in Ansonia, Connecticut, October 4, 1920 she was one of eight children born to Vincenzeo and Michelina Alessio Mastrosimone. Rose was raised in Connecticut, graduating from high school there.

In 1941, Rose married James Joseph Simeone. Throughout her working career, Rose was employed with Lee Beachwear, Robby Len as a seamstress, manufacturing bathing suits. Although a working mom, She spent her life devoted to her one son, James. He was her life.

As a young woman she enjoyed attending dances and going horseback riding. Most recently she has kept busy with knitting and cooking.

She will be sadly missed.

Predeceased by her beloved husband; and all seven of her siblings; Rose is survived by her son, James Simeone and his wife Althea; two grandchildren, Joey of New York, NY, Brooke of Conneticut; as well as her daughter-in-law’s nieces whom she considered grandchildren, Korrin Patterson of Easton; Tammy Stockley and her husband Tony of Chester, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held a 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2016 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 150 Broadway, Rockland. Interment will be held at a later date at the Estes Park Cemetery, Easton.

Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
