Margareth Monique  Rankin
LINCOLNVILLE - Margareth D. Rankin, 74, passed at home with family around her, as she finished her fight with cancer and left us in her sleep. Margareth was a strong, intelligent, talented wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known to do the electrical work when needed in the home and bought books when necessary, for instruction in replacing things like the water pump in her car. A woman of Faith, she raised her children to fear the Lord and talked with her family about the Promises until the day she died. Margareth was married to Robert R. Rankin for 57 years.

Margareth was pre-deceased by her parents James & Corinne Duxbury; son David H Rankin; grandson Matthew D Rankin; son in law Michael JC Carlson; and in laws Rea & Maxine Rankin. She is survived by her husband Robert R. Rankin; her children, Robert J. Rankin, Mark R. Rankin all of Lincolnville, Michael K Rankin of Wisconsin, William D. Rankin of Lincolnville, Diane M. Carlson of Washington; 5 grandchildren, Meahgan A. McKee-Beck and her husband Bill, Virginia M. Dorr and her husband Todd, Benjamin S. Rankin and his wife Amanda, Robert W. Rankin, Maxine J Hynes and her husband Kenneth; nine great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Elise, Bentley, Maddie, Jackie, Brayden, Kaylah and Brysen; three sisters, Patricia Kelly of Lincolnville, Ruth Duxbury of Florida, France Jordan and her husband Barry of Rhode Island; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. A reception with food and fellowship will follow at ‘104 Limerock’ adjacent to the funeral home.
