Marjorie Ann  Smith
WARREN - Marjorie Yeager Smith, 86, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Knox Center for Long Term Care in Rockland.

Born March 13, 1930, in Chicago IL, the daughter of Ruth E. Tompkins and William Dumke, she was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada by Ruth and George C. Yeager. She was a 1948 graduate of Las Vegas High School and attended nursing school in Chicago.

Marjorie married William Floyd Smith on February 14, 1961. She went back to school and completed her BSN at Seattle Pacific University and became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1983. She went on to get her MSN in 1985 from University of Washington. She worked in many settings helping people including a State Prison in Monroe, WA, the VA in Seattle, and a methadone treatment center in Seattle.

Marjorie was widowed on February 1, 2008. In August 2009, she moved to Warren, Maine to live closer to her daughter Dorie and ten of her grandchildren.

Marjorie was a lovely woman who will be remembered for her unconditional love of family, her dedication to her Savior Jesus Christ, and her bright smile. She was active in the Auxillary of the Gideons International distributing Bibles wherever she lived.

Marjorie is survived by her son George K. Smith of Pickens, SC; her daughters, Dorie Spear of Cushing, Lynda R. Jensen of Deming, WA; 11 grandchildren, and one great grandson.

Marjorie will be laid to rest beside her husband in Greenville, South Carolina. Services will be held there. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to The Gideons International. www.thegideons.org.
