Rebecca Ann  Geesey
SOUTH THOMASTON - Rebecca Ann Geesey (Mullen), beloved wife of George E. Geesey died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 after a lengthy illness.

She was raised in Wildwood, NJ and graduated from North Wildwood High School. She was graduated from The American University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She enjoyed a lengthy career in the Washington, D.C. broadcasting community including WTTG, WASH and WXTR with the Dalton Group. Becky also acted as the liaison between area broadcast managers and community leaders.
Becky was a devoted long-time member of Knox Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Silver Spring, Md.

After retiring to Maine in 1999, Becky and George were able to pursue their varied interests and hobbies. Becky was a gifted pianist and organist, playing at several churches; she was an avid reader, member of book clubs, and volunteered at libraries her whole life. She was also employed at ABCD Books in Camden, Maine, where she facilitated online rare-book sales. Becky was a talented seamstress, creating heirlooms for both family and friends.

In addition to her husband of 54 years, she is survived by her daughter Ellen Dean (Bruce) of Frederick, MD; son Gordon (Yolanda) of Ridgely, MD; four grandchildren, Mary Kathryn, Henry and John Dean, Abigail Rogers (Chris); and two great-granddaughters, Annie Mack and Ellen Rogers. She was preceded in death by a daughter Robin; her sister Grace Mullen and her parents Hopwood and Rebecca Mullen.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:30 to 11:00 am, Monday, November 16, 2015 at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland, Maine where a celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 20, 2015, in Vineland, NJ, at Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 South Main Road. Viewing will be at 11:00 a.m., with the service at 11:30. Interment will follow immediately at Rose Hill Cemetery in Newfield, NJ.
