Obituary for Dennis Rogers Young Jr.

Dennis Rogers Young Jr.
CUSHING - Dennis R. Young Jr., 58, passed away of a heart attack on October 10, 2015.
Born on February 7, 1957 at Knox County General Hospital in Rockland, he was the son of Dennis R. Young Sr. of Cushing and Helen Robinson.
Dennis was a lifelong resident of the Midcoast and attended Georges Valley High School. Following in his father's footsteps, Dennis started lobstering at a young age and later excelled at catching everything from shrimp to tuna fish. Always a strong believer in hard work, Dennis took pride in providing for his family and teaching his children the importance of a good work ethic.
Dennis was a loving father who spent countless hours teaching his children how to fish, hunt, and play sports. He shared his passion for sports with the community by coaching soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball teams. He also loved sharing his views on Dale Earnhardt at Fales' Store after a big race.
Proud to call Maine home, Dennis was also fond of telling stories about travelling with childhood friends and loved taking his family on vacations and trips to see the New England Patriots.
Dennis loved his family and was a very dedicated son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Dennis was very close with his daughter Michelle and was overjoyed for the birth of her daughter, Aaliyah.
Dennis is survived by his daughter Michelle Young; his sons, Neal and Stephen Young; a granddaughter, Aaliyah Heald; his father, Dennis Young Sr.; a sister Denise Senay and her husband, Jimmy Mackie; a nephew, Ethan Senay; a brother, Terry Robinson Jr., his step-father Terry Robinson Jr., and a son in-law Aaron Heald.
A private service is being arranged. Please contact his family for details. To share a memory or story with Dennis' family, please visit his Book of Memories at www.bchfh.com.
