ROCKLAND - Florence Jessie Stone, 96, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.

Born June 15, 1918 in Winterville, Maine, she was the daughter of Ernest and Hazel Murphy Bartlett. She grew up in Portage, Maine, living there until she was 14. She then moved to Bangor, where she was a 1936 graduate of Bangor High School. She later attended the Maine School of Commerce.

Predeceased by her first husband Clair Millett and her second husband Nelson Stone; Mrs. Stone is survived by her sons, Charles Millett and his wife Jill of Cushing, Robert Millett and his wife Theresa of Plympton, Massachusetts; a daughter Marilyn Parsons and her husband Stewart of Northport; three grandchildren, Gregory Black, Rebecca Black, Ainslee Riley; as well as seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A private graveside service will be held at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
