Obituary for Adam M. Knight

CAMDEN & LINCOLNVILLE – Adam M. Knight, 31, died March 31, 2015.
Born in Rockport, December 9, 1983, he was the son of Gilbert H. Knight, Jr. and Carolyn L. Graves Knight.  While growing up in Camden, Adam attended local schools where he enjoyed playing in the band, basketball and other sports. In earlier years, while growing up Adam loved animals, especially his dog ‘Amos’.  He loved fishing, trips to Fun Town with his parents, riding the Flume, camping trips with his friends, and family trips to Story Land and Six Gun City, as well as lots of wonderful memories with the whole family at his grandparents’ cottage in Washington, Maine. In more recent years, he worked at Dyers Auto Detailing in Lincolnville and with Rosie Gerry where he was able to pursue his passion of restoring antique automobiles.   A self-taught body and fender technician, his friends reported that Adam was the best at this trade that they knew. He was also a self-taught musician.  He cherished his acoustic and electric guitars given to him by his parents and enjoyed playing them for family and friends. Pre-deceased by his father Gilbert H. Knight, Jr. in 2005; his maternal grandfather, George C. Graves, Sr.; his paternal grandfather, Gilbert H. Knight, Sr.; and an uncle, George C. Graves, Jr; Adam is survived by his mother, Carolyn Knight of Camden; his maternal grandmother, Clarista Callie Laderman of Camden; his paternal grandmother, Frances Knight of Lincolnville; three uncles, Glenn Knight of Lincolnville, Keryn Knight of Camden, David Graves and his wife Marie of Orlando, FL; an aunt, Ramona Graves of Hope; many cousins, including Lorie Thompson and her husband Michael of Lincolnville, Ann Graves, Lynne DePasquale, Sharon Spear and her husband Don, Stephen Graves all of Hope, Jeanette Graves of Orlando, FL and Joanne Mohammed and her husband Lee of Groveland, FL; as well as all the children of these cousins.
