Donald Arthur  Robbins Jr.
LEWISTON - Donald A. Robbins, Jr., 77, formerly of Rockland, died Monday, April 6, 2015, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Born in Rockland, November 1, 1937, he was the son of Donald A., Sr. and Gladys M. Widdecombe Robbins. He attended local schools.
Donald worked many years as a fish cutter and later as a clam digger. For several years he resided in Massachusetts and most recently in Lewiston.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing poker, spending time with his family and singing country music.
Other than his parents, Donald was pre-deceased by two brothers, William A. Robbins, Malcolm H. Robbins; and two sisters, Patricia E. Genthner and Sandra L. Ames. He is survived by four sons, Jeffrey Robbins and his wife Tracy of Rockland, Herbert D. Robbins of Worcester, MA, Patrick W. Robbins of Lewiston, Donald Knowlton of Belfast; five daughters, Crystal M. Simmons and her husband Arthur of Livermore, Barbara A. Seiders and her husband Jayson, Sr. of Thomaston, Marion Blood, Diana Russell and Gladys Lanther all of Belfast; three brothers, Robert W. Robbins of Auburn, Richard E. Robbins and David A. Robbins both of Baltimore, MD; one sister, Darlene F. Dubois of Salem, Missouri; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
