Condolence: A mother to me for 2 seasons at Burke Mtn. I co-managed the Country Hearth ski shop for Ed and Joanne.Ed would allow me to give skiing lessons to Joanne and her friends while he did my job in the shop.I am so sad to learn that she lived so close to me lately . Only 15 miles and I never knew it. I certainly never forgot them. Happy skiing in heaven, love Pete

Condolence From: Mary and Wilder Simpson
Condolence: Joanne was a lovely friend and admired artist. Wilder and I had a wonderful weekend with her in Camden after she moved there from Kirby. She was one of the first group of artists who believed in a future for the Northeast Kingdom Artisan's Guild in St. Johnsbury, VT. This organization now has over 100 members.

She loved painting out of doors around this rural area. One painting was a beautiful fall view of our farm including two tiny figures - myself and my horse. She was such a fine, accomplished, loving person. It was a privilege to know her.
