UNION - Gladys G. Scaccia, 75, died Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport, following a brief illness. She was the wife of Albert N. Scaccia.
She worked several years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Pen Bay Medical Center. With her husband, Mrs. Scaccia enjoyed camping, from the Florida Keys northern Maine.
She was a member of the Winslow-Holbrook-Merritt American Legion Post No. 1, Auxiliary in Rockland.
Mrs. Scaccia was pre-deceased by one sister. JoAnn Finneran. She is survived by her husband Albert N. Scaccia of Union; two sons, William Makinen of Bangor, Scott Makinen of Tenants Harbor, one brother, James Finneran of Natick, MA; one sister Nina Idarola of Ware, MA; two grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
