Obituary for Lynn Marie Stanley

Lynn Marie Stanley
ST. GEORGE - Lynn M. Stanley, 59, died unexpectedly, Monday, December 15, 2014 in Camden.

Born September 18, 1955, on Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, she was the daughter of David and Edna Wiley Earl. Moving to Rockland as a young girl, Lynn attended local schools and was a 1974 graduate of Rockland District High School.

Following graduation, Lynn began employment with the Courier Gazette. She worked her way up to the ‘Paste-Up’ Department, staying on through the transition to computerized publication, eventually working there for over 35 years.

In June of 1978, Lynn married her best friend, Bruce Stanley at the Tenants Harbor Baptist Church. Together they made their home in the Tenants Harbor and St. George area their entire married life.

Most recently, Lynn has been employed at JewelPop, Inc. in Camden as part of their distribution team.

Lynn is remembered by her family as an excellent cook. She loved decorating cakes, making many extraordinary designs. She even designed and made her daughter’s wedding cake.

She took great pleasure in crafting, especially ceramics, sewing and crocheting. Her number one priority in life was her family. She loved spending time with her daughter and her two grandchildren. They were the loves of her life. She shared a special bond with both grandchildren as she was proud to have been the one to cut their umbilical cords, helping welcome them into the world at their births.

Lynn will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Predeceased by her father, David Earl, Lynn is survived by her husband, Bruce Stanley of St. George; her daughter Ashlee Reynolds and her husband Travis of Spruce Head; her twin sister, Elaine Carter and her husband Mark of Rockland, sister Cheryl Mancini and her husband Raymond of Yuba City, CA; her brother Richard Earl and his wife Kathy, Shelton, WA; her grandchildren, Owen and Rose Reynolds of Spruce Head; nieces and nephews, Michelle Pearl and her husband Tim of Longmont, CO, Michael Earl and his wife Anna of Eagle, CO, Daniel Carter of Rockland; great-nieces and nephew, Layla Carter, Grace and Merek Pearl; as well as many aunts and cousins.

Lynn’s family has chosen to remember her life privately.

Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
