Condolences

Condolence From: Maria Chisholm
Condolence: My sincere condolences to Rays family. He spoke lovingly of them frequently, and how much he missed them when he used to go to Florida. He and my father were good friends and shared many a morning coffee chat. Ray will be missed at our house. He was a well-informed and intelligent conversationalist. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Condolence From: Ronald and Walter Dyer
Condolence: Ray was a man who defined community service and leadership and the importance of a free and active press. My father always said that he was able to accomplish alot of what he did as a firefighter union leader and later as fire chief because of the support of Ray Gross at the Courier and helping to keep public support around Dad and the firefighters as well.

Our sympathies to Mike and Martha and the rest of Ray's family.

Condolence From: Barbara Koster Stewart
Condolence: I was sorry to hear of Ray's passing. He was my late husband's (John Koster)boss for many years at the Courier Gazette. We had many interesting parties at Ray and Esther's house at Christmas. I also spent time talking with Ray at Tanglewood's reunions while I was Tanglewood's Office Manager. He will be greatly missed by the whole community.

Condolence From: Carol Knight
Condolence: Condolences to the extended Gross family. We all have such wonderful memories of Ray. I have many fond memories of visiting Ray and Esther in South Thomaston, fishing and pulling lobster traps on Ray's boat (and falling in the mud when getting out!). God speed. Love, Carol

Condolence From: Victor Santos
Condolence: To the Gross family, on my behalf and on behalf of the entire Cape Cod Community College family, our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. In reading the great accomplishments of your loved one, you should be very proud to have been part of this extraordinary man's life. He certainly was a contributor to many great causes and made a difference. I know that with the contribution also comes many family time sacrifices. May he have a great birthday with Jesus and may he rest in peace. Sincerely
