ROCKLAND - Marian H. Wall, 94, died Saturday, November 15, 2014, at the Woodlands, following a long illness.
Born in Portland, August 19, 1920, she was the daughter of Ralph M. and Julia Pettee Flanders. Having moved to Waldoboro as a young girl, she was a 1937 graduate of Waldoboro High School.
For several years, she resided in Warren where she was employed at the Warren Woolen Mill. She attende the White Oak Grange.
On August 30, 1947, she married Albert A. Wall at Rockland. The couple made their home in Rockland all their married lives.
In 1975, Mrs. Wall began employment as a secretary with the City of Rockland. She retired in 1988.
An ardent sports fan, she enjoyed following all the New England teams, and local high school teams as well.
Mrs. Wall was pre-deceased by her son, Ronald “Puff” Wall in 1990, and her husband Albert A. Wall in 2005.
She is survived by several extended family members.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M, Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday. The Reverend Paul Marshall will officiate. Interment will follow in Achorn Cemetery, Old County Road.
