Sandra Lee  Kaler
WINDSOR - Sandra L. Kaler, 61, died unexpectedly, Saturday, October 11, 2014 in South Thomaston.

Born in Rockland, August 26, 1953, she was the daughter of Dorothy Conant. She was educated locally.

For many years Sandra worked in the dietary department at Pen Bay Medical Center.

For over 15 years she was married to Esmond Kaler. Together they spent many years as caretakers for Beaver Lodge. Her daughter said they took great pride in their work and had countless hours of fun camping there.

Sandra was an animal lover. Most recently she adored her dog ‘Mia’ however she has owned and loved a variety of animals over the years, including, chickens, ducks, geese and even a goat.

Predeceased by her husband Esmond in 2013, Sandra is survived by her mother Dorothy E. Payson of South Thomaston; her sons, James Houghton of Windsor, Augusts ‘Gus’ Wellman, Jr. both of Windsor; her daughters, Angel Hunt of Sidney, Lillian Wellman of New York; her brothers Daryl and David Waters both of South Thomaston; a sister Toiney Waters of Byron; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sandra’s family will conduct a graveside service at 1:00 PM, Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Sterling Cemetery in Warren.

Cremation arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
